No more academies

Keep our schools in the care of the borough as academies are draining our children of individuality and creativity alongside adding unnecessary stress

Why the contribution is important

Mental health problems amongst young people are at a critical level and pressure at school has been shown to be a major factor. Camden schools have a long history of turning out bright successful individuals but the academies in Islington are corporate conveyor belts. Let's not let that happen in Camden

    The opposite please. Academies raise the standard both of their own students, but also of nearby local run schools who have to 'compete' for students. This has been born out in studies in every country which has made school choice a policy. More school choice will help every child in Camden.
